We are well-capitalized, moving fast, and looking for the founding engineering team to turn our validated prototype into a global platform.

The Opportunity

You will be the first senior technical hire, working directly with the Founders to turn a functional prototype into a secure, scalable Health OS. You are not here just to draw diagrams; you are here to build the infrastructure that makes our AI safe, secure, and robust for thousands of users.

This is a hands-on role for a builder-architect who thrives on complex challenges involving data security, cloud-native infrastructure, and high-concurrency systems.

The Mission

• Prototype to Production: Take a working prototype serving initial beta users and re-architect it for scale. You will own the migration from a single-server architecture to a distributed system capable of handling thousands of concurrent users.
• Security & Compliance: We handle sensitive biological data. You will design and implement the "Privacy Shield"—encryption at rest/transit, role-based access control (RBAC), and audit logging suitable for future HIPAA/PDPA compliance.
• Cloud-Native Infrastructure: Build a robust environment using PaaS, Docker, and advanced shell scripting. You will ensure our infrastructure is platform-agnostic (AWS/GCP/Azure) and automated.
• LLM Operations: Design the infrastructure to support RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) and vector databases, ensuring the AI has long-term memory without latency spikes.

Who You Are

• Deep Backend Expertise: 10+ years of engineering experience. You have lived through the shift from monoliths to microservices and know the trade-offs of both.
• Cloud Native Expert: You are fluent in PaaS, containerization (Docker), and orchestration. You are comfortable with Linux shell scripting and infrastructure-as-code. Experience across AWS, GCP, or Azure is essential.
• Security First: You treat security as a foundational requirement, not a feature. You have experience securing PII/PHI in production environments.
• Scale Veteran: You have taken a system from MVP to scale before. You can identify potential database locking issues, race conditions, and memory leaks before they occur.
• AI/LLM Experience: Experience scaling LLM-based applications or managing vector search infrastructure is a significant plus.

This is a hands-on role for a builder-architect who thrives on complex challenges involving data security, cloud-native infrastructure, and high-concurrency systems.

The Mission

• Connect the Pipes: Build the backend integrations and APIs required to ingest passive health data (from sources like Apple Health, Oura, Google Fit) and feed it into our AI context engine.
• Backend Logic: Design and implement the core business logic (Python/Go) that powers our family health dashboards and daily planning engine. This role is approximately 90% backend engineering.
• AI Engineering: Collaborate with the Lead Architect to implement LLM chains, structured outputs, and regression tests. You will help ensure stochastic models behave deterministically in a medical context.
• High Velocity: Utilize modern AI-native coding tools (Cursor, Windsurf, etc.) to ship features rapidly and efficiently.

Who You Are

• Backend Native: You are fluent in Python (mandatory) and have experience with Go or Node. You understand API design, NoSQL/SQL databases, and efficient data processing.
• AI-Curious or AI-Experienced: You have likely played with LLM APIs, built a wrapper, or used RAG in a side project. You are eager to master this domain.
• Modern Tooling: You are comfortable using AI coding assistants to multiply your output and focus on high-level logic rather than boilerplate.
• Product-Minded: You care about the end-user experience and understand how backend latency and logic impact the final product.
